Jamie; looks like u will be out of work soon

Post by phuketrichard » Thu Jul 06, 2017 11:31 am

:beer3:

An Australian company has developed a robot that can build a house in two days, laying bricks at a rate of 1,000 per hour.

The robot, known as Hadrian X, is manufactured by Fastbrick Robotics and has been backed by construction giant Caterpillar who have already agreed a US$2 million deal with the company also having the option to invest a further $8 million in future.

Neither the Egyptians nor the Khmer used mortar and their buildings are still standing. Unlike some council housing....

I think there's a difference between sandstone blocks that weigh several tonnes and small bricks or cinder blocks.

theyve been trying to make a machine to replace bricklayers for the last 40 years(Remember tomorrow's world on BBC?)....they work well on perfectly level smooth floor factory conditions.....you never get that on building sites, where they'd be useless...They will however be used to make pre-cast brick walls which can then be lifted in by crane on site.....

Read the story, they use a glue. This machine from Western Australia does work, it has been around for a long time. These robots are coming fast, withein 10 years in Australia 40% of jobs will be gone. Amazon has 40,000 robots already.
Don't worry, basic income will mean we can choose to work or not. Countries print money to pay everyone to keep the thing afloat. It's a huge Ponzi scheme.
We just have to keep believing in it.
