Chinese fortune-tellers take the money and run
Impossible to say why they ran away without using their magic as promised.
Fortune tellers on cheating charges
26 June 2017
Two Chinese fortune tellers have been charged with cheating a Phnom Penh market vendor out of cash and jewellery.
Chbar Ampov district police officer Seng Ly said Yang Yin, 50, and Mo Huang Fang, 54, went to Chbar Ampov market to make predictions for vendors.
They met a Cambodian-Chinese-woman named Lee Kiev, 54, who was a costume jewellery vendor, and who could speak Chinese.
She asked them to make predictions about her businesses, to which they told her she had bad luck.
The suspects then asked the victim to give them money and jewellery, promising to use magic to make her successful. “But after the victim gathered her money and jewellery and gave it to them they took it and ran,” Mr Ly said.
“While they were fleeing, the victim shouted for help. The suspects were arrested by local police.”
He said police confiscated the stolen $12.50 and jewellery and returned them to the owner...

$12.50! How low will people go to steel. Unbelievable. I suppose all Chinese are not rich.
Always "hope" but never "expect".
