Thoughts on Tuk Tuk hailing
Greetings all
I just wondered what the general consensus was on Tuk Tuk drivers regulars yelling, screaming, and waving to get attention - and what peeps do in response for the most part. I have employed various tactics over the years - mainly for my self amusement - and just wanted to see how others approach the situation. My top 5 are:
1) The exaggerated wave back
2) The immediate eye contact, followed by a staring contest with no words
3) Asking the driver for his license and insurance papers to see his response
4) Asking for a long trip to, say, Laos
5) Trusty old complete silence and walkby

Very simple. A shake of the head, and make no eye contact.
If they continue, you can invisibilize them using mind power. Shake the head again. Ignore them.

I tried to "invisibilize" them using mind power, but they are stubborn bastards and my Jedi mind tricks just didn't workUsername Taken wrote: ↑Sun Jun 25, 2017 11:50 am Very simple. A shake of the head, and make no eye contact.

do the duck mouth pointing thing with your lips and moo several times. it really flummoxes them because they know you are speaking their language, yet the meaning is completely unclear.

I really can't be arsed going to Thailand just for some shirts and fuck paying $100 for a decent one at Aeon, or even just bloody going shopping full stop.
