''According to Article 62 of the Traffic Law, it is an offense to fail to observe a red traffic light, punishable by suspension of a driving license for a period not exceeding seven days and a three point deduction.

How do you deduct points or suspend something you never had.

Actually they didn't see red with the older traffic lights either..

More importantly, don't motorbike drivers driving bikes under 125cc not need a license?

What points would they deduct or suspend then?

I don't understand why they have activated the new lights at intersections that already had them before, instead of starting with the intersections that didn't previously but desperately needed them. Oh wait... yes... Cambodia. nvm

These kids are more successful at controlling the traffic than lights. They have no authority and no weapons , just respect. Look at how not one of those cars have stopped on the pedestrian crossing.

Yep, they do a very good job.

When traffic lights first started in PP, they would go out on the road and tell bikes and cars to move back. Good on them.

there be 6 junctions 'controlled' by sets of lights down here in pleasant Sihanoukville by the sea. depending on which way you is traveling, on the correct side of the road, some are too far round a corner or obscured by tree limbs to be seen as you approach.....

Recently one set, not counted above, was replaced by a traffic circle/roundabout .... and it seems to have slowed everyone down , even the speed mad Chinese, when going through an intersection that some used to blast through before...
