Video of Foreigner In SUV Running Over Khmer on Motorbike in Phnom Penh Sparks Debate: Whose Fault Is It? (POLL)
A video of a male Barang running over a Cambodian man on his motorbike has been spread across social media. The man gets thrown off the bike and the bike is trapped under the SUV.
Two separate CCTV Security Cameras caught the accident from different angles.

It's a shame there isn't an earlier 10 seconds on that video - to me it looks like the moto driver looked, saw the SUV, did it anyway.
But, without a shadow of doubt, it's ALWAYS the barang's fault. Just ask the first copper on site. An elephant call fall from an airplane and land on a moto - the first barang to arrive on the scene on/in a vehicle is to blame, according to Khmer society.

Watching moto riders closely the last few days, moto riders shift left or right without a momentary glance and cut across bumpers with utter abandon. But yeah, a few seconds of video before the crunch would have been very instructive.

In the footage from the other direction (2.20 on) you can see the motorbike pulls out of the car's path and then swerves back across it. Fucking idiot.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Motorbikes always assume the car will move out of their way but...
ITS
1, always the barangs fault
2, always the one on the back

Of course its the Barang. If they weren't in the country, this would not happen.

Ah, okay - that makes more sense. I restarted the movie a few times to watch that first two seconds, clearly the moto driver is at fault but difficult to see if you haven't experienced that on a regular basis.John Bingham wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2017 2:47 pm In the footage from the other direction (2.20 on) you can see the motorbike pulls out of the car's path and then swerves back across it. As JBingham says, seeing the video from the other direction, the moto driver is all over the place. Drunk or just realized that here was where he needed to turn left.

Its not Thailand, not always the barangs fault. In my experience witnesses tell the truth and blame whoever was at fault, it's nothing like Thailand. The video is not conclusive, where is the footage leading up to the collision.
And why would the barang not wait for the cops before moving the car, that's the sensible thing to do. If the mob think that you are leaving then you are fucked. Call the insurance company and they will call the cops.

Well guys it looks like im famous that is me, as you can see from the video they edited it so it shows the moment of impact so it looks like the car just hit him from behind.
The reality of what happened is the moto swirved left in front of the car into a small gap thinking he was gonna go down the middle of the road, then decided he was going to swirve to the right and go down the far inside of the traffic, so when the gap opened up i gave it gas, soon as i done that the kid on the bike decided to swirve back in front of the car again, at that stage i had already committed to moving forward and it was too late he got hit, the guy doesn't have mirrors on the bike and he didnt look over his shoulder totally unaware of whats around him in rush hour traffic.
Now as a motorcyclist and ive been riding bikes a long time i can tell you if you dont look over you shoulder when making manouvres on the road you are going to get yourself killed, its the one thing they drill into your head before taking a motorbike test look behind you regularly, use your mirrors always be aware of whats on the road behind you, especially when its big SUVs, because if you dont one will roll over your head some day and all because you couldnt look over your shoulder
