theres so many different ways to spell khmer words with the multitude of similar sounding consonants and vowels,
similar to words in English like Where, Wear, Were, Ware, There, Their, Theyre, To, Two, Too etc. etc.

Re: more rural is idioms
First, I am very appreciative for the feedback. I'mBitte_Kein_Lexus wrote: ↑Sun Jun 04, 2017 8:02 pm I don't think that's a rural idiom. I've heard it before and just asked my girlfriend and she knows it too (and she's from PP). So technically I think it's not a rural idiom but simply a Khmer one.
glad you were able to read my phonetics and hope you agree with the translation. I call my idioms "rural" since I learn them from highly uneducated or illiterate peasants. Bit people travel and hence so does language. It is entirely possible that I hear something with urban roots in my small village and that you hear an idiom of rural origins in Phnom Penh. Whatever the case may be, I thank you for your input.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

ក្រឡេច - Krolech - to try to escape; to dodge, evade, elude; to try to get out of doing something with lame excuses, to seek a method of shirking (something); to change one's mind abruptly; to be fickle; to be scheming.
ក្រឡេច - Krolech - trick, scheme
cant find an individual translation for ក្រឡុច - Kroloch though
but ive got a translation for the phrase as a whole...
Krolech Kroloch
ក្រឡេចក្រឡុច - Untrustworthy, Tricky, Untruthful
Mean Dtuk Mean Trei, Mean Loy Mean Srey
