Re: Western NGOs are detestable liars
I don't understand the OP's issue. Being paid through a bank is a lot safer than getting an envelope of cash every month from admin/directors who could pocket as much as they like, and deduct tax while not actually paying it etc. The bank statements will show exactly how much the employee has been paid, and as above it's a lot safer to keep money in a bank account than under the mattress. The banks make little or nothing from these accounts which are not likely to ever have more than a few hundred in them and for this reason banks are also reluctant to lend much if anything to these account-holders, unless they put up property as collateral.
The only downside to it I can see is that it might be difficult for those in more remote areas to access a bank.

Oh, there we go:StroppyChops wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 7:18 pmNo, no! Oh no, please don't! ...cptrelentless wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 6:41 pm Are you raging about banks, now? Do you keep all your money in a shoebox under your bed? Surely having a multinational bank reduces risk.
Too late.

Yes, of course, if only because doing so makes me truckloads of money!
It is an essential part of our strategy as bitcoin hodlers to collectively talk the banks into their graves. We seek to destroy the trust in the banking system. Actually, we are probably doing too much work, anyway, because it is obvious that the banks themselves will sooner or later do that by themselves, just like they did in 2008!
You see, bitcoin is a project by expert mathematicians for expert mathematicians.cptrelentless wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 7:31 pm ... and then laud the plaudits of a massive ponzi scheme ...
We generally do not invite people who have no clue about this kind of mathematics or about its software implementation, to participate. The really good software is hard to install. I can guarantee that to you. Some people may try to make you believe that we are an open and inviting community. That is not true. We are not. We don't want to hear from clueless people that they have lost the little money they have by dealing with things that they do not understand. So, no. No bitcoin for dummies. The noobs will have a hard time buying coins, because hodlers do not sell, and certainly not to them. Better even, every day we make the math and the software MORE COMPLICATED. We are not interested whatsoever in making it more simple.
This is in fact the same in the fiat finance world. If you have never heard of Black & Scholes, then they will certainly not allow you to open an account for algorithmic trading in vanilla or exotic derivatives. You will NEVER get an API key. EVER. Nothing has changed in that respect with Bitcoin.
Why do you call our field a ponzi scheme when you have not even proven that you would be invited or allowed into our field? Why exactly would you qualify to get in?
True and so?cptrelentless wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 7:31 pmThere have been multiple cases of hackers taking millions from the exchanges - Bitfinex, anyone?
You see, I specialize in studying the security of that kind of platforms with a view on preventing theft. Therefore, the more millions stolen, the more it is obvious that people like me are necessary, and the more money this kind of knowledge commands. As far as thefting is concerned -- from where I stand -- there can never be enough of that going on. The net present value of the type of knowledge in which I specialize, went up a hell of a lot with that massive theft at Bitfinex. So, I am certainly a net winner in that event. But then again, that is pretty much always the case. I am positioned in such a way that pretty much all possible events in my own field are a one-way winning bet.
Try buying a pineapple with a bar of gold. Won't work either. Does that mean that there would be anything wrong with bars of gold?
I don't particularly buy gold, first and foremost, because I don't know -- in accordance with my own rather strict security standards -- where I could store gold in a place like Cambodia. For other people, it may make sense to store large quantities of gold in Cambodia. I am not against gold at all. I am just not familiar with how to turn events in the gold market into firesure one-way money-making bets. I cannot say that whatever happens to gold, I will always be making money. With cryptocurrencies, I can probably predict quite a bit correctly, if only, because I can see the source code running in front of my eyes.

Being just a humble servant of the Almighty, I lay my fate in the hands of our divine Master!
You see, even Satan abides by our Master's law, and is therefore his servant too. The fact that he must keep attacking us, is not even his fault. That is why we are in a stalemate with him. Don't count on him, however, to stop. Not that it matters, actually, because all of that are simply pre-existing rules in this game.
Since I kneel in all humility for his Lordship, Master of both worlds, I can happily engage in permissionless spitting on all the vile animals who don't. The bankers have been told umpteen times that the scriptures forbid them to charge usurious interests. Does it make any difference to them? No. Spitting on the usury-infested bankers is not "my arrogance". It is the Divine Master himself who ordains us to do that.

Re: Western NGOs are detestable liars
Lol, you're worse than the banks if thats possible. And even more boring than a banker.I will always be making money
Now that you've had your 2 seconds of attention, you can piss off and stop polluting the forum with your silly rants.
Re: Western NGOs are detestable liars
We rant on the bankers and the bankers certainly rant on us. They certainly don't like us either. The reason is that either side must seek to destroy the business model of the opponent. That strategy is not optional. The reason why you call these rants "silly" is because you have no skin in this game. Actually, you most likely do. This game is indeed merciless. At the end of this game, one thing is for sure, a lot of people will lose a lot of money, and a lot of people will even die. Concerning the NGOs, they'd better watch out than to surreptitiously promote the interests of our enemies, since we collectively control over $80+ billion now.
By the way, how much can you charge per hour for your own silly rants?
