Carnage on Monivong: accident causes 3 dead and 6 injured

Carnage on the road in Phnom Penh last night around 6pm, outside the Boeung Trabek High School. The terrible accident was caused by a single vehicle, who was reportedly traveling in the correct direction when it hit another car,damaging a door, just after the Bokor traffic lights. This apparently caused the driver to panic, because he then turned the car around and attempted to flee in the opposite direction at high speed, against the traffic. The vehicle hit seven motorbikes, bringing it to a halt, as bystanders chased the car, pelting it with stones. Bodies of the dead and injured were strewn along the road, covered in blood in the wake of the car's passage. The driver was dragged from the car by an angry mob and was seriously injured before he was rescued and taken into custody by the police.
Among the three dead were twin girls and a man. No identities have been released yet. RIP

It wasn't outside the High School, it was in front of the Sathapana Bank near the MRC.

Let's see if it will be like when the Doctor's daughter mowed down a bunch of people a few years ago. If I remember correctly, she got a slap on the wrist as she was under examination stress (and nothing to do with the fact that her Dad was/is a high-ranking government official).

yeah saw the pictures yesterday, that car must have been driving like a fucking loon to cause all that destruction! fuck arresting him should have let the crowd finish him off the cunt

what is in the khmers ( and thai's as well) make up that makes them always want to attack people? Sure he fucked up, but....

Is it cause they know that justice will NOT be given?

I hope this was sarcasm

One of the reason these "i hit one car little -> panic -> i try escape and then accidentally hit more people" things happens because of this "beat the the guy who crashed" attitude in Cambodia. I just wish you never accidentally hit anyone when driving out there.
