WTB flat screen TV - but NOT at stupid price

Post by StroppyChops »

Looking for a flat screen TV, 40" or upwards, at a reasonable price with at least some warranty and all the usual ports. New or reconditioned, as long as it's not a rebuild being flogged as new. Recommendations on where to start looking, other than the dreamer-land that is FB PP Buy and Sell?

(Please, no private offers, try FB PP Buy and Sell!) <- edit: unless I know you personally and you're an admin around here!

Actually, you're in luck if you'll settle for a used one in perfect condition, complete with a nice, black tv stand.

It's a Sony Bravia, 40" LCD with all the connections (including USB, which has a good decoder so you can usually watch movies right off a USB stick or external hard drive) and a remote that also works with a PS3 since they are both Sony.

Never had any problems with it. I will literally GIVE it away with the stand for $150. I bought the tv new for $700 a couple years ago from Kfour in Sorya Shopping Center and the stand cost around $60 I recall.

You can also have the DVD player, which plays all the copied DVD's with no problems. That cost about $25.

Again, all yours for $150.

Nah, it's all good. It will be as described, and a second-hand Sony Bravia is easily worth that. As long as it's not a cunningly disguised aquarium.
