The French guy in black vest was working at the Sok Heng guesthouse reception on Koh Rong when I was there last month
I am very surprised the police out there are making drug busts , they must be run off their feet

Not much new here, except that the story's made the EL news which is probably not a good thing for those involved.
Be good to know the real motive for their arrest. It's all very well to say that the police are starting early for the holidays, but why start on Koh Rong Sanloem at 2:30am when they can just call in at Otres or Occheuteal any time ?
Foreigners accused of drug dealing
Khmer Times,Pav Suy, 27 February 2017
Preah Sihanouk provincial anti-drug police say they arrested three foreigners distributing marijuana on Koh Rong Sanloem island early on Saturday, confiscating five small bags of the drug.
Police identified the three as Kengo Yasu Kawa, 35, from Japan, Pierre Jean Firmin, 27, and Lauri Berther, 22, both from France.
The provincial police report said that two plastic bags of dried marijuana weighing a total of 14.39 grams were found with Mr. Kawa and three bags of dried marijuana weighing 17.69 grams were found with Mr. Firmin.
Sun Sophat, a deputy police chief in charge of the provincial anti-drug section, declined to say what led to the arrests, saying it had to be confidential.
“Regarding the tactics, we cannot tell you because it is technical work,” he said.
Mr. Sophat said the three bought the marijuana from people at Otres village. Police were searching for the others involved.
The three were due to be sent to the provincial court late yesterday.
