Most of the airports in the USA have the scanner option and I do not have to be handled by security--
My worst experience with luggage was when in Heathrow my bags sat in the rain for 2 weeks while I was in Zambia in the bush---
I returned to the capitol to find my bags mildewed from their holiday in London--
They only had 11 hours to get my bags from my one plane to the next---
