Nanny needed

This is our job board for expats. Until ZipRecruiter and Indeed make their way to the Kingdom of Wonder, this is the best place to look for employment in Cambodia, whether you're looking to teach English, manage a 5-star hotel, volunteer, or even work for some of the big NGOs. Even digital nomads who move to Cambodia sometimes need a side gig as a TEFL instructor from time to time. Most professional expatriate jobs are in Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap and Kampot are emerging as attractive alternatives. If you're an employer or hiring manager, you're also welcome to post your job listing here for free.

I doubt it's anywhere near that.

From today's Khmer Times: http://www.khmertimeskh.com/news/34420/ ... evy-alive/
Cambodian migrant workers in Malaysia will have to continue bearing the cost of a levy of up to $400 after the government there delayed by a year plans to put the onus on employers.
...

At present, foreign workers in Malaysia, of which 30,000 are Cambodian, have to pay the levy, which is sometimes more than their monthly salaries.
...

Last July, the Malaysian government announced that the minimum wage for all workers, including foreigners, would be $225. However Aegile Fernandez, the co-director of Malaysia-based human rights group Tenaganita, said employers sometimes only pay their foreign employees $160 to $180.

ome I knew was a Thai and made 550 dollars pm, got her drivers license sponsored (two month prof training) and had a mercedes, volvo and a bmw at her disposal.
the other one was cambodian in malaysia, made 600 pm, with none of the above benefits.
I knew both of them well, it isn't hearsay as in BS.

If the salaries are in the 200 to 400$ bracket for abroad employment then I think some of them could easily find employment locally for comparable wages.

I am myself way happier to pay 150/200$ + some benefits for an independent and professional half time maid than 100/140$ for a full time useless one than can't be bothered to do any serious housework but a lousy daily floor sweep :whip:.
