Unlikely to be happening the same here. But some countries not best pleased with so far results of investment.

how many khmers have the ability to absorb so many mid to high end condos? we shall see, how many foreigners (not chinks) are willing to plonk down as investment in this basic infrastructure lacking country? not to mention low resale activity (mid n high end condos wise) and low economic activity country, so far all the economic growth (5 to 7%) have been from direct foreign investment, how much is due to real economic activity produce in country? look at the dismay exports figure and you can draw the conclusion yourself, real property prices rises are driven by real economic growth where companies give good pay and employee upgrading their houses or profitable companies bring in loads of expats who then requires long term stay (not those slaved in dark rooms luring chinese to their online gaming portals)
right now what is happening, is very simple these chinese companies tries to hyped up a place, by announcing and investing in loads of money, then they tries to cash out by luring people to come to buy their properties, some early punters might even make some money (so if u caught the right one, anyone here can make money too) but in the long run it will be just an empty shell, property agents and property companies hired by these companies would also help to pump up the hype.
pump and dump, oldest trick in securities (maybe not the oldest) now coming to other industries as well.
