Lower driving age/no license required

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Unfortunately knowing better does not = doing better. It's a guy thing. You wouldn't understand.

In this case the stupidity is across both genders, don't be so sexist. ;)
I've seen plenty of barang girls riding without helmets - they all get overseas and lose their minds.

I find Jamie's posts totally disgusting and in very bad taste
but than again many of his post fall in this category.

I guess its the working class English school mentality.
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Interesting, personally I always thought Jamie's posts were fairly innocuous and most with reasonable insight and tolerance. Unlike some other posters that come across as "redneck bigots" and have had some "time out". I suppose being American youre perspective should not be surprising. Although I must admit I was surprised by your comment.

"The British have a talent for caustic satire and painful put-downs: fact. Not one of the more provocative statements from The Office's David Brent, but the finding of a piece of research that is likely to ignite controversy on both sides of the Atlantic.

A survey of more than 4,000 twins suggests that humour regarded as typically British – sarcasm and self-deprecation – is linked to genes found in British men and women, but not shared, for instance, by Americans.

While telling jokes and looking on the bright side of life – which researchers dubbed positive humour – is common to both sides of the Atlantic, only in the UK did they discover genetic links with negative humour – biting sarcasm and teasing. Experts admit that the results have left them baffled.

They say it may explain why the British like aggressively sarcastic or denigrating humour such as Fawlty Towers, Blackadder and, of course, The Office.

"It is possible that differences exist between these nations in their sense of humour and that these may be the result of different genetic and environmental influences," said Dr Rod Martin, one of the researchers." http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/th ... 93491.html

BTW here's a Victorian English Joke
WIFE: "You loved me before we were married!"
HUSBAND: "Well, now it's your turn!"
