You are right of course. You can lay low and avoid detection. Once you're on the radar it's an auction.phuketrichard wrote:Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote:I just loved the place from day 5 or so. That and no extradition treaty with my home country.
Pirate bay
The Sweds came and took Gottfrid Warg back in 2102 out of Phnom Pehn,( he was living above Cadillac) )
and they got Fredrik Neij on the thai /laos border 2014
extradition treaties dont mean shit

Other way around, Cambodia chose me, I.e. the outgoing girls did.

Your way off the mark on that one. Australia has some of the most cheapest land available, and you get your name on the title.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

i wanted to try something different from Thailand, a year was enough

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Work. Most of my work isn now in Vietnam and Laos but I still prefer to be based here. Easily accessible airport, frequent flights, nowhere near the pollution or traffic of HCMC or Ha Noi. I am getting a little tired of Temple Town, I was watching an endless parade of Hipsters last afternoon, but a quick trip to Vietnam quickly gets me over it.

Laos is really nice as well, Vietnam is busy and pushy.hanno wrote:Work. Most of my work isn now in Vietnam and Laos but I still prefer to be based here. same happened to me with BKK, rest of Thailand is great. Had I not started in Bangkok I possibly would still live in Thailand. But thats where the job was.phuketrichard wrote:lived in pp for a year 2008/09

My frequent escapes to Hua Hin and Songkhla were always a treat.
