They are OK. I fly with them a lot more than you and it has been OK so far. As you said: if you drove to HCMC every month, you'd probably be dead by now.bolueeleh wrote:i take angkor air every month for KOW to HCM, i just resign myself to fate and console myself that driving is more dangerous than is

Did they try to save on the company logo paint ?

The plane has just landed, yet you'd think they would have done it in Germany. Maybe BKK or HKG is cheaper if possible. Maybe they filled the cargo with twenty pallets of canned aerosol paint. Who the hell knows out here!

Thailand hopes to pass ICAO inspection
9 Dec 2016
The standards of Thai Airways International and Thai aviation authorities keep Thailand away from Europe's latest air safety list of banned and restricted airlines, the civil aviation chief said.
Thailand hopes to pass the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO)'s next inspection after its flag carrier was cleared from the European Union's air safety blacklist on Thursday.
The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) updated its European Union air safety list of banned or restricted airlines on Thursday and Thai Airways International (THAI) was not on it.
Chula Sukmanop, director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), referred to the latest EU Air Safety List on Friday and said relevant authorities had worked hard to address aviation safety concerns.
The document, known in the industry as the "EU Blacklist", identifies airlines that do not meet international safety standards and are therefore subject to an operating ban or operational restrictions within the European Union.
THAI was the only Thai-registered airline operating in the EU and has continually maintained its safety standards, Mr Chula said.
In June last year, the ICAO issued a red-flag warning over significant safety concerns following Thailand's failure to meet standards in regulating aviation businesses and granting Air Operator Certificates...

NokAir Flight Makes Emergency Landing After Engine Fire
19 Feb, 2018
BANGKOK – A NokAir plane made an emergency landing at Sakon airport in Thailand after flames were seen coming from one of its two engines and the propeller stopped turning shortly after take-off.
Flight DD9407, a Bombardier Q400 carrying 84 passengers, left Sakon Nakhon airport about 3.10pm yesterday, due to arrive at Don Mueang airport at 4.35pm.
A few minutes later it suddenly turned back to Sakon Nakhon airport and made an emergency landing. Some passengers were transferred to another flight heading for Don Mueang late on Sunday night.
Passengers on the aborted flight took videos of the failing engine and the landing and posted them on social media.
One passenger wrote on his Facebook account that he saw flames coming from the engine exhaust on two occasions before the propeller stopped turning.
Nok Air had technicians check the defective plane at Sakon Nakhon airport and used another aircraft for scheduled flights between the northeastern province and Bangkok on Monday.
The airline has apologised to its customers.
