Health Insurance coverage? - Fed (US) retiree

Post by Old8404 »

Any retired fed (US) employees found a OPM policy that covers here in Cambodia, and elsewhere? Have kaiser coverage which is great for emergencies - but only emergencies. Would like to change my coverage to something I can use here or BKK so do not have to fly back to USA when something really important starts mal functioning. Already old and living here is keeping me young - but... (Blue Cross?)

I have been in Cambodia 13 years with no insurance, which means I have saved ?? $13,000 ??? on handing over money to a insurance company to get rich. Luckily, because of good management I have that cash sitting in a bank account ready for an emergency.

It's really about taking control of your own life and not expecting others, or insurance companies, to bail you out .
