Phnom Penh to Siem Reap by motorcycle
How difficult is this ride? What is the best time to start out? Any tips for a smooth ride? Ride across the Japanese Bridge and follow the signs and NR6?

Nothing difficult. Just follow the highway all the way up. Not very interesting.

Take the bridge, keep on until Skun town and take a left. It's around 6 hours unless you're on a large bike, so getting out of town early means you can have lunch in SR. The road is very good these days, but haven't done the section from Skun to Kampong Thom in a while, but it's smooth riding from pp to skun and KT to SR. Wear a helmet, keep right, and give way to the buses trying to run you down.

Did they finally finish the road? Last time I was on it they had taken the road out and forgotten to build the new freeway.

The road is as easy as p*ss the problem is the other road users. Take it slow and carefully.
