The National Press Club of Cambodia (NPC) is a new organisation that aims to provide a forum for serious, nuanced, and respectful debate between leading thinkers (from media, government, business, academia & civil society) who have a range of different opinions. There are important disagreements and debates in Cambodia, but too often these disagreements devolve into name-calling and point-scoring. The NPC recognises that there are decent and intelligent people who disagree about certain issues, and NPC events will offer an opportunity to discuss those disagreements directly, thoughtfully, fairly, and ensuring everybody is given the opportunity to represent themsleves accurately.
PRIME - Professional Research Institute for Management & Economics is a research institute that provides analysis and commentary on issues related to economics, public policy, and governance, with the goal of promoting a prosperous, free, and happy society. Towards that end, PRIME teams up with a series of partners, including the NPC, in order to improve the quality of policy debate and policy analysis. Their website is available at:

This sort of thing ? Freedom of speech and expression...PSD-Kiwi wrote:Wonder if they'll discuss bias on the Kampot Noticeboard?
That said, Kampot fb may not be particularly open to discussion on topics like drugs and expat deaths, but you don't see much of that on the other expat Cambodian fb pages either, do you ? Eg; PP expats, SR expats etc. They are all a bit sensitive when it comes talking about the dark side of their adopted city/town. Business first ?Speakers will also address the sharp divide between the English and Khmer language press, strategies for improving the quality of journalism, and issues relating to free speech more broadly.
Honestly, I haven't checked, but are the PP fb pages discussing all the recent drug-related deaths ?
