Build it, and they will come

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

"I moved to rural Cambodia to escape the city and damned if it didn't follow me."

Are you familiar with the lyrics to the Dire Straits song Telegraph Road?

Who doesn't want a fridge in their bedroom? If they put it where that bedside table is you wouldn't even have to get out of bed for a beer.

So far it looks like this: Image Image Image
Photos were taken in Jan 2016. There's some foundation laid since, but it's hard to see how much because it's full of water right now. Or maybe that's the swimming pool. Lol. Image

Otherwise, as I said elsewhere, every man and his dog with a couple of sq metres of land are building apartment blocks in SV. I'll get out and do a photo shoot - it's insane. I heard today about a little plot down the road about 2-3m wide where they are planning to build UP - like a stack of cards. A lot of these new places have fine views on to either the neighbour's wall, or into the neighbour's windows or balcony.

it's actually called The Willis Tower now and has been since 2003.
But that's defo chi town, I was wondering that myself as I read the post.
BTW, the other big (tall) building just to the left is the Trump building on the Chicago river.

Down the end of nowhere street near Norodom Blvd. Two high rise buildings.

On Sihanouk Blvd near Olympic stadium. Sky Villas, by Crystal Orang Construction.
