1 Brit, 2 US arrested; woman's body found in fridge.

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

Thai authorities said that they recovered 10 passports as well as 'certain types of equipment found in the room [that] can be used to produce fake passports'.
The raid yielded six pistols, methamphetamine, marijuana, a printer, and chemicals, according to the Bangkok Post.

In a more "romantic" version of events, the Pattayaone news headline suggests that the body, which may have been in the freezer for up to 8 years, was the British suspect's lover:
Body in Bangkok freezer. Victim may have been suspect’s gay lover
Mr Surachet told the Naew Na website that there was a suspicion that Johnson/Colter, who is said to be uncooperative, had a ‘romantic relationship’ with the male victim, an elderly European blonde-haired man whose chopped-up body was found in a freezer in six plastic bags.

The police officer said psychologists who had attempted to interview Johnson/Colter suspected that not only had he been romantically linked to the victim, but after his death he could not bear to part with him and had decided to keep his body.

that Johnson/Colter, who is said to be uncooperative,
That would explain his bloody face, guess Thai coppers do not like "uncooperative".

He was probably the one who shot a cop...
According to the Bangkok Post, one of the suspects fired a gun during the arrest raid and wounded one of the arresting cops.

It seems that the "British" suspect is in fact a US fugitive wanted by the FBI. His name is Herbert Craig La Fon. The Thai authorities had asked the US and the UK for help in identifying the three foreigners, suspected of entering Thailand with fake passports.

FBI says 'third man' also American, not British

Pol Maj Gen Surachet Hakpal, commander of Tourist Police Division, said the FBI has confirmed that three of the foreign suspects are American nationals.

Two of them are Aaron Thomas Gabel, 33, and Jame Douglas Eger, 66, while the third who was earlier identified as British national Peter Andrew Colter, has been identified by US authorities as Herbert Craig La Fon, 63.

Police found several passports belonging to him with different names, making it difficult to determine exactly where he came from...

Police are investigating whether the dismembered body could be that of a 65-year-old foreign man identified as Robert Logan Grandy who, according to Mr La Fon, died of cancer and was cremated at a Bangkok temple in March this year... the mystery surrounding the body is expected to be solved soon now that authorities have collected the victim's fingerprints and sent them to foreign embassies for comparison.

Can fake passport be used for anything but hotel bookings anymore? I can't imagine them being used for actual border crossings since everything is computerized now.
