Wont be long before the Cambodian Red Cross jumps into action.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

The Red Cross has already made its presence felt on the Tbong Khmum side of the bridge that connects Kampong Cham and Thomg Khmum.over the Mekong. Farmers flee here every flood season, but I have never seen the water higher here nor so many temporary shelters. One drawback is that they bring their cattle with them; they are frequently untethered which plays hell with the heavy traffic.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

I agree with you the floods are bad this time round. I have been back for a week or more. Travelling almost daily into the countryside over the bridge.taabarang wrote: ↑Fri Aug 17, 2018 4:08 pmThe Red Cross has already made its presence felt on the Tbong Khmum side of the bridge that connects Kampong Cham and Thomg Khmum.over the Mekong. There is cause for concern in Kampong Cham where water levels are predicted to rise in the coming days.

KRATIE - Officials of the Kratie provincial Department of Education confirmed that the flood situation in the Mekong River in Kratie has risen at an alarming rate, but this will not constitute an obstacle to high school or baccalaureate exams for the 2017-2018 school year.
Alternative test centers have been set up so that students can stay dry while passing their exams.

Cambodia under water. Impressive overview of the flooding from PNN news today.
20 people are reported to have died in the floods and 80,000 families have been affected (ie. flooded out of their homes). There will be much rebuilding to do when the waters recede.
