Road Block Along National Road 2, Preventing CNRP Law Makers and Supports From Petitions Parading to Embassies in PP

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

It's good to see the competent authorities managing the roads in a competent manner to ensure the competent flow of traffic through the competent city.
Scarier than malaria.

A facebook poster wrote this one her facebook along with a picture of her ill dad.

It is really hurt. I begged them to make a way for me to bring my dad to the hospital as he was screaming of pain in need of treatment. Why are you so cruel and merciless. I don't have weapons, guns, why are you so afraid me this much which you all are armed.

Another clever Opposition "own goal" maybe?

One idiot Oppositionist wants foreigners to boycott Cambodian clothes and throw the seamstresses out of work
and now the Opposition's antics give the HS regime the chance to deprive people of their wages
AND (quite neatly, ju-jitsu style) BLAME this unhappy state of affairs on the Opposition.

I don't see opposition's tactics as encouraging other people to put up barriers and block of roads , stop bus services' and close business. Cannot see why they just did not supply a escort service so the CNRP got to where ever they wanted to go, in the quickest time. I know they can do it, cause almost every day I see HS housekeeper in a convoy of cars with lights flashing and sirens blasting , as she heads out to the market to buy the daily rations of Henessy Whisky.

And And And , they would not have all the free advertising.

After looking at many photos and a couple of videos on this traffic blockade, I have come to the conclusion that the end result was justified. It made many people, the type of people that drive Lexus and other luxury cars, or have large businesses, that were caught up in the traffic jams realise that the rich and the poor suffer when people do not sit down and sort problems out. The backlash will eventually end up on the lap of the person who said, they will block any attempt at the opposition to march .
