Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Phnom Penh: Corey Goode from Houston, Texas died in a motorbike accident on July 24, 2016.

There was also a GoFundMe account started for Corey Goode, raising over $10,000.

"On Sunday, July 24th Corey Goode, Project Cambodia’s former director, passed away in a tragic motorbike accident in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where he was about to begin teaching at an international school.

Corey was a free-spirit and natural leader. He has left a permanent imprint on his family members, friends, and students and he will always be remembered for his drive to make the world a better place.

Just like the mekong bus crash, the fb page here gives a human dimension to the death notice. So sad that this guy had just arrived and was killed so quickly in a stupid motorbike crash. He sounded so excited about his "new life". :(

Wasn't he here before as the director of that NGO? Sounds more like this was a "return". How long had he been in Cambodia?

He was my brother. 23 years old - and he did arrive in Cambodia only 3 days prior. I am forming a foundation in his honor. I appreciate this press outlet posting the story. He always had kind words to his family and all of the people he loved.
