Ah, I think I get you. Well, if you mean this:

I'm rather immune to seeing accident aftermath. Just doesn't hit any nerves or anything.

Yet, when those obituaries are posted, it hits me. Very disturbing to be reminded that a few seconds before the fatal crash, the bodies you see mangled across the street, were lively, beautiful girls on a bus with friends coming back from a fun trip to Thailand.



Kind of reminds me of what happens in a movie when the dog dies. There can be a hundred people brutally slaughtered in a movie and nobody bats an eye; but if someone shoots the dog, everyone is teary-eyed and furious.
