ummm, yeah, pretty much so. there are of course exceptions to the rule.Retardedwaitress wrote: is Cambodia full of bored alcoholics?
Moreso in SHV from what I can see.
I am seldom bored, I get up and pretend to do work from around 7.30am until 12.50pm and am not an alcoholic as I generally do not start drinking beer until about 1pm when I play poker. I usually stop drinking beer (due to the volume) and switch to spirits around 11pm. However quite a few of the people in the building in which I live and others I meet daily do indeed fit your description.

Re: is Cambodia full of bored alcoholics?
if you class Serendipity Beach/Golden Sorya Mall/Street 136 as "Cambodia" then yeah sure, although most of those boozers are likely to be Tourists who would drink all day seeing as theyre on 'Holiday'
without being too positive though, there are a lot of 'expats' who drink a lot regularly/alcoholics,
i myself have suffered numerous spells of alcoholism, although its not often you will see me drinking in the day time, its one of my rules,
i love day drinking but it doesnt matter when i start ill still be up until the early hours (3-7am) drinking heavily, which would end up killing me if i got into the habit of day drinking, as i dont drink beer
(FU british binge drinking culture!)

Re: is Cambodia full of bored alcoholics?
The problem with not being able to own land and being too old to get married and get your name on a deed means a lot of people who would be pottering in the garden and shed back home don't have that option.

Now you know the dirty secret of the 3rd world.Retardedwaitress wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2016 3:03 pm Ive seen one guy in sihnoukville drink 14 beers before noon to entertain himself while others just plain live on bar stools .
I see a real lack of imagination here in cambodia and alot of barangs just doing nothing but drink day in day out.
