Does that 2000 riel add up?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Okay that is fair. But if the price is written in Cambodian and they ask 2000 riel more is that overcharging ,because that happens all the time.

I have yet to see a motodup or a pineapple vendor at the market with posted prices.

Yeh the khmers love to pull small time scams, tricks and rip offs that barangs dont seem to care /realise / give the time of day to even give a f&#k.
Good example is when the motodop has
"no change .....".
I doubt any khmer customer will buy that crap for 1 second.

That's a common retort amongst arguing four year olds. You should have been able to figure out in the intervening years that it makes no logical sense.

yeah "it takes one to know one" isnt much different to
"you cant play a player" or "you cant kid a kidder"
a thief can recognise a thief, a con man can tell who a con man is, it takes one to know one...

if were talking play ground "i know you are you said you are so what am i" would be more appropriate.. ner ner

How does it make any sense?

Hey, check that lady out bro!
It takes one to know one.

That looks like a shark over there!
It takes one to know one.

That guy is a fucking low-life scumbag ice-head.
It takes one to know one.

He's an accountant.
It takes one to know one.
Fuck off, you know I'm a chef.

And if you couldn't understand my comment, check out Retardwaitress' posts. Pretty much every single one is bitching and blaming and complaining. I bet he's a real ball of fun to run into of a night.... :suicide:

what? ive never heard "it takes one to know one" used in any of them contexts...

It takes one to know one.
is that really the best example? really? what?

"it takes one to know one" means exactly the same as "pot calling the kettle black"

when a person who expresses criticism has similar faults to the person being criticized...

it makes perfect sense, im not sure why youre struggling...

im not sticking up for Retarded waitress btw just helping you see "sense" :thumb:
