1 year Vietnam visa

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

Thanks for the copy of the newspaper article. Though I hope no parts of it have been ' doctored ' not necessarily by you but perhaps someone else prior ? As that quote allegedly by Obama sounds a bit strange. From where exactly did you get that article ?

Just rock up at immigration and you are good to go mate..... :thumb:

Let us know how you get on.

without either, he wont get on the plane :please:

Funny thing at Manila atleast on Philippine airlines which was actually on my itinerary called vietnam airlines i guess operated by Philippine airlines it seems it is true they will NOT yet one on the plane. They almost did not let me on the plane even though I did have visa approval letter that I previously had paid $10 for a month or so prior. Anyway was asked for it at ticket ck in counter and all was well till i got to the boarding gate and tried to enter the place to the plane and then the woman read it in more detail and it seems the passport number did not match my current passport for apparently i had prior given the visa approval letter place on the internet my previous expired passport number. Anyway then we went thru some arguments and me complaining and bitching but even after all that they still seemed pretty adamant they were not going to let me get on the plane because blah blah blah etc- I had to check back out thru immigration again and then at the last minute I was told if I could produce the old expired passport and the numbers matched and I said the old passport was in my already ck'd in bag which was true so they went and got it off the plane and i went thru it shuffling out dirty clothes etc. trying to find it but anyway finally did and he verified the passport number did match so rushed packing junk back in the bag and they taking it and putting back on the plane and me having to rego again thru security etc. and finally boarding the plane just barely in time. By the way has Philippines rescinded the departure tax which around three years ago was a few dollars ?
Because anyway this time i never had to pay it.
