My mate (who i used to work with) arrived in SHV last week after i had recommended it to him after he met me in PP for a couple of nights on his way to Vietnam, he also has a couple of friends here apparently that hes met up with, his first review back to me was this....

You've got to sleep with one eye open, There's not a lot of tourists here yet,and people r struggling.arr mate says it will change in a wk or so when the season starts, so far I haven't seen a copper. Steve from the bar says there not even interested. herd they drafted police in from siem reap because of corruption"

haha i told him to wait until i get back in a couple of weeks ill change his view of the place hes been hanging around pubstreet theres no wonder his outlooks been dull!

I'm sure when im back ill be able to boost SHV's score up (ill make it my mission), people like to focus on the negatives too much online

No mention of Ladyboys, dodgy drugs, druggings, etc. Pretty tame mate (unless he's been here b4 and knows the scene). Sure he's seen a bunch of coppers he just doesn't know what they look like here, tell em to keep a eye out for the walkie talkies.

its only his 2nd time in cambodia, his first time he flew to PP for a few nights to meet me before heading to vietnam (his usual place of escape) tbh i think its the opposite, i think its more of a sense of naivety and hes only just realising that Cambodia is quite a bit more wild west than its neighbors lol he was only here for i think 3 nights before and he had me watching his back, this time hes a bit more on his own, he said he had some friends there that own a bar (think he might be on about stevie c) that he arranged to meet, ill be back in a couple of weeks to take him under my wing lol
