Went to so many high end establishments in Singapore, this is the best. Will definitely come again.

Did you manage to get out to where the normos live?
Shame if you didn’t head out to Geylang and try the various Asian dishes. (Plus you could have sampled the late night offerings)

Is it just me who is totally failing to see the puropse of this post (other than perhaps bragging rights)?

Its just you! Its good to get recommendations for good restaurants with accompanying photos. I used to go to Singapore regularly, but have not been out of Phnom Penh for a few years. If I was having a few days in Singapore I would have certainly give the place a try. I would like to see similar reviews for Phnom Penh. I tend to go mainly to either Sonoma and Bouchon, but some good Phnom Penh reviews might persuade me to expand my venues.

I bet that steaks heart is still beating, in fact I'm sure if you talked to it , it would say '' Mooooo ''

Geylang scene had changed a lot over the years, these days the traditional Singapore food stalls is no more traditional as compared to say 15 years ago, the owners are slack and getting foreigners to cook modifying techniques and ingredients so it no longer so traditional anymore. Also influx of Chinese nationals into Geylang had changed the food scene as more and more Chinese restaurants are opened (Chinese as in PRC) serving food that Singaporeans not accustom to. Still it is an interesting place to visit.

Food in Singapore is generally inexpensive considering that this is a developed country of course if compared to Bangkok where I live is a little more expensive for example

Noodles / Rice
Bangkok = $1.30 (40 baht)
Singapore = $2.50 (S$3.50)
but bear in mind Singapore portion comes very big and Thai very often has to order 2 portions. The of course in Thailand driving water is free (without ice) and also tissue paper while in Singapore once has to buy water and tissue papers.

The if one compares prices of simple food between Singapore and Hong Kong another developed place you will see Singapore price are really cheap.

Oh I forgot to mention in Singapore food and eating establishments are very clean too.

When I arrive in Singapore on Friday first thing I wanna eat is Singapore's fishball noodle. Had this in Raffles City Mall on the 3rd floor's foodcourt

Had to queue for our very delicious duck noodle, this stall has been around for like 45 years in this Queenstown area of Singapore
