Weekend in Singapore
Re: Weekend in Singapore
Went to my favorite seafood restaurant in Singapore for dinner on Saturday, Long Beach at Dempsey. Been a while since last had Alaskan crab.
Took this giant
Crispy squid to start
And bamboo clams
Because it’s a big crab we got them to cook half white pepper
the other half black pepper
Followed with kale stir fry

Re: Weekend in Singapore
Raffles Hotel, famous for its Singapore Sling worldwide is under major renovation. The Long Bar was initially moved to a piano room on the ground floor and continued to serve Singapore Sling, on August it was moved back to the original Long Bar on the 2nd floor.
Went there on Saturday night for a drink. Still looked the same except for a mechanical shaker machine smack in the center of the bar top
Ordered the Singapore Sling and what a disappointment as it seemed its become more dilute less intense. So for $28++ or $32.50 its really not worth it. Don't think will ever go there again

Agree that it is an iconic location but the drink is not worth the trouble or the expense.. No longer on my list of places to visit.yong wrote: ↑Mon Oct 15, 2018 8:55 pm Raffles Hotel, famous for its Singapore Sling worldwide is under major renovation. Just had breakfast at Tiong Bahru Market with family. This is a video of the food centre above the market.
