Re: Traveling in Times of Coronavirus
Yes, but "short term visitors" are not the same thing as transit airline passengers who remain in the international zone and do not ENTER Singapore.
Maybe someone from Singapore could clear this up. Who are these "short-term visitors/work pass holders" that are refered to in the link ?

I'd assume short term visitors are non residents/everyone else not in the first two columns. Just poorly worded.Anchor Moy wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 6:14 pmYes, but "short term visitors" are not the same thing as transit airline passengers who remain in the international zone and do not ENTER Singapore.

Have you got home yet?Kung-fu Hillbilly wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 1:30 pm I've just had my own national carrier, Jetstar, cancel on me from Bali. That's three flight cancellations in two days. I'm sitting in a hotel across the road from Nagurah Rai airport unable to get out it seems.

I purchased the ticket before this craziness....phuketrichard wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 4:55 pmWhy would anyone purchase a ticket to anywhere now?BklynBoy wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 3:52 pmsaw that. The 2nd part of the flight I was going is in Singapore. I checked to see if i can purchase a ticket for my travel dates on Singapore Air website and i was able to. That might not mean much tho. August is far enough away possibly?clutchcargo wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 3:39 pm No transit through Singapore after midnight tomorrow night.

Greetings from LAX. Singapore Air would not let me board without a medical certificate. They asked for insurance and I showed them my Thai social security medical card.
I have a medical certificate from a US clinic. $200. Thank you, ‘Murica.
Interesting. The staff really weren’t sure what to do with me. But boarding passes in hand.

Yes, but all that has to do with arrival in Thailand, not about transiting through Singapore.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 8:23 pm

I know that I'm going on about whether you can transit through Singapore or not, but for the moment, it is the major airline transit centre that is still open (or not) from SEA, so I think it's really important to have the facts right.
Cheers all.
Re: Traveling in Times of Coronavirus
If i am reading the above correctly from PR, his friend did transit thru Singapore. The difference was he needed a medical certificate which is specific to Thailand. Does that sound right?

The info in the graphic I posted doesn't kick in, as it says, until 2359 tomorrow night. What happened today will soon be out of date. Like pretty much everything atm.Anchor Moy wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 8:35 pmYes, but all that has to do with arrival in Thailand, not about transiting through Singapore.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 8:23 pm friend of mine just flew Singapore airlines today from LA-Sing,(transit only)-PHuket
