You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

The Foreign Country Where Irish Nationals are Most Likely to be Arrested is...

Post by General Mackevili »

SPAIN. But Cambodia and Thailand got honorable mentions:

Other countries that recorded a handful of incarcerations between them included Cambodia, Pakistan, the Philippines and South Korea.

Details of foreign arrests and detentions usually find their way into the public domain, even where individuals have not sought State assistance.

In October, a 23-year-old Irish man was reported to be facing 50 years behind bars in Thailand after allegedly attempting to sell a kilogram of cannabis to police officers.

I thought that bloke on the far right was a priest.

No one can beat the British for fighty drunk you-looking-at-my-bird/you-just-spilt-my-pint idioticness. The Irish just like to party and tell stories or jokes, and sell coke to cops.

Ahh. What I'd do for a pint of Guinness. (UK drink more Guinness than Ireland. Africa is third!)

I don't recall any Irish being jailed here in the period they mentioned. There was an Irish couple in jail here for a while, but that was around 2007 I think.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Not likely, I haven't been arrested since the late 1990s, and that was just for stupid shit that I never got charged for.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
