At Khnai Bang Chatt for a wedding this afternoon, let's just say that the current view doesn't look much like the photos on the resort's website ☹️

200 trucks on the job means about 1600 truckloads per day (200 per hour) if the round trip takes 1 hour.
200 trucks a day is no match when the sea wants to object. The sea gives and the sea takes away. Much more sophisticated and engineered projects around the world have lost the battle with the sea.

This sort of fill works in paddy fields, so why not just fill in the whole ocean? :?

The new pier in Kep is now open for business.

Kep-Koh Tonsay Tourism Port open
Hom Phanet | Publication date 19 January 2022 | 22:07 ICT
The Kep-Koh Tonsay Tourism Port, a pier on mainland Kep town replacing an old one, was inaugurated on January 19, and is expected to greatly benefit the provincial economy, and go a long way to support the local tourism, agriculture and fisheries sectors.

With a surface area of nearly 5,000sqm, the pier is 68m wide and stretches out 306m into Chhak Kep bay towards the province’s most well-known island of Koh Tonsay. It is reportedly able to accommodate vessels of up to 300-passenger capacity.

Cambodia Plans to Build Waterway Transport Connecting Phnom Penh’s Bassac River to Kep Sea
29/01/22 15:40
Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 29 – Transport minister Sun Chanthol said the ministry is studying the possibility to build waterway transport, connecting Phnom Penh’s Bassac river to the coastal Kep province, which can boost the kingdom’s imports and exports.

Sun Chanthol spoke at the ministry’s annual meeting on 28 January 2022.

The new waterway transport will reduce the current transport distance of 80 kilometers. It will be built on the natural waterway, requiring just an additional man-made 5-km canal.

I can't understand this because the Bassac River flows into Chợ Long Bình, Vietnam. Where is the additional man-made 5-km canal to be dug to give access too coastal Kep province?
