Temple That Got Me Busted by the Police
Temple That Got Me Busted by the Police
A fine temple that saw me getting busted by both police & military for doing absolutely nothing wrong.

They harassed you for not carrying a passport?
Wowsers! What happened to the give a little tea and problems all go away?
I’m assuming you are fluent in Khmer and can smooth talk your way out of any situation..
Unlike me.

I thought it was commonly known that you are supposed to carry your passport in Thailand.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2024 8:19 pm They harassed you for not carrying a passport?

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

And yet, I've lived in Thailand for almost 18 years and have never carried it, unless I need it for something specific (at a bank or at the immigration office) or travel. With one notable exception, I don't know any foreigners living in Thailand who do. You really need to be quite unlucky to get in trouble for not carrying your passport.Bluenose wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:45 amI thought it was commonly known that you are supposed to carry your passport in Thailand.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2024 8:19 pm They harassed you for not carrying a passport?

Of course you won't ever even need a passport in the interior of any country, wandering around border areas might attract suspicioun though.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
