Visited the Tian Tan Buddha in Hong Kong's Lan Tau Island. My first time there. This is an aerial view of the buddha I found in the internet

Started with the cable car at the Tung Chung MTR station
Image

Its a almost half hour ride, really beautiful scene, here is the see through floor of the cable car

The airport is just beside

The Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge, here you see it going under sea and coming up, far away is Macau and Zhuhai

Yesterday was the last day in Hong Kong returned to Bangkok night. Had my last meal there and it has to be Hong Kong dimsum. Found this restaurant in a mall.

Image

Looks like a popular place with many customers
Image

Roast goose, I think the other restaurant I posted before is better
Image

Buns with vegetables
Image

Glutinous rice
Image

Shrimp and pork dumplins
Image

Steamed pork ribs with black beans
Image

Lobster soup with tofu
Image

the dimsum is really good.

The most famous wanton noodle brand is probably the Mak name as it was believed Mr. Mak brought this to Hong Kong from his hometown in Guangdong. His decedents opened many noodle shops with the Mak name on their shops.

Along Parkes Road in Jordan there are 2 - https://goo.gl/maps/XvpSKxcYQnKwA3KT7

Image

So which is better? Lets start with this
Image

Image

As usual Mak's noodles comes in a small bowl with 4 wantons
Image

The soup is sweet and heavily flavoured, the wanton is full of prawns, noodle is thin and springy, I'd say its cooked to perfection
Image

Next door

Image

This sous is lightly flavoured, wanton is larger and the marinate is more flavourful, noodle is slightly bigger than the first
Image

If one likes a heavier flavoured soup the first shop is the choice and noodles is thin and perfect too. But if wanton is important to you I'd say go for the second shop. Hell, just do both you will be happy. HK$36 per bowl.

Last post for this trip. At the airport Thai Airways lounge. One of the nicest view for an airport lounge.
