SECOND COVID-19 for new Arrivals

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

generally no to mild sx of Covid 19 indicate after 10 days = no longer infectious; the 14 days is just a buffer that makes it very unlikely that those with few or no sx might transmit the infection accidentally.
Cambodia is a middle to low income society and they have litter buffer to respond to a a surge in cases like in other countries. They are erring on the side of caution:

Because 14days isolation is doing the right thing ,the money isn't going anywhere it will still be there in a few more days, I'm not that disparate for a quid.

I thought it strange they just seemed to think everyone knows what to do, I presume they're given up on the isolation to hard to police and most people won't do it.
I'm struggling to keep away from people visiting , I think it a novelty factor for them, plus I've been away 5 months
I thought it a bit odd being able to go to bank after 5 days when you're supposed to be in 14 days isolation
When I was released from the hotel I was made to sign and keep a copy of a notice which amounted to an agreement to remain in isolation for 14 days and set the date for the second test, plus where to go. Did you not get such a notice from the hotel?

I get the impression the system is organic and evolving all the time.

Hi Doc

Can you tell me what information was on your COVID certificate? I am planning a trip and the country I am heading for wants a negative test no less than 48 h from entry.... The timing starts, so they say, from the time you are swabbed (!!) and with planes etc - this is not an easy condition to satisfy.

It would really help me to know whether your certificate had the date only or also the time of the swab and any thing else relared to that.

Thanks

Cheers

Doc. No given just my passport and told the bill was $100 for two nights. Maybe hotel staff no informed enough, it really shouldn't be up to them I think. Should have had an official there IMO.

Well, your second test will have no interest in it whatsoever so you aren't missing out on anything.

This is the certificate, but it did not state the swab date. I did have the lab report which does state the time and date the swab was received but I held that back as it put my over the 72 hour mark. If where you are going wants a negative test result with a 48 hours of a swab you really are up against it.

This is the lab report
