Road Trip Around Cambodia
Right....
i really want to get out and see some more of the other provinces around Cambodia at some point next year,
i was originally planning on going for little breaks away to random ones, but thats going to involve a lot of going back and forth (shv aint much of a central location lol)
so was thinking it would be pretty cool to just take a month out and go on a bit of a road trip and doing a bit of a loop, stopping off in random towns along the way,
anyone done anything like this before? recommended or not?
or would it be better to just go for the odd weekends away?
i'd like the adventure and doing something different but depends on how practicable it is i guess...
any provinces/towns anyone recommend checking out?
talk to me...

^^ There are some interesting and worthwhile day trips out of Battambang.
Phnom Sampov
The lake place (whatever it's called)
Jamie, check out some of the threads in 'On The Road' for more ideas. I'm pretty sure Samouth did one about the Battambang area.

Re: Road Trip Around Cambodia
ive spent a week in the boonies in Kampong Cham, and going to visit Kampong Chhnang in Feb as a friends sister is throwing a big party and ive been invited,
ill be using my own transport if i decide to do it, my main inquiry would be if its do-able/worth doing, the roads & finding places to stay...
the provinces i choose would depend on the route i end up taking, will probably head out east to Mondulkiri hitting most of the smaller southern provinces along the way, then across the north probably as far as Siem Reap, then from there to Battambang then making my way back home to Kampong Som

go to Prey vihear, Koh Ker
go to Bantey chhmer
go out on the lake ( boat, not car ) LOL
Batt has a few totally unvisited ruins 10-15 kms out of the town and gets no tourists at all, visit the lake out of town for a picnic
also very inexpensive hotels an of course the home of the circus
