one of ur goals to visit every country?

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

one of ur goals to visit every country?

Post by phuketrichard »

One of the best fb groups i have joined is https://www.facebook.com/groups/everypassportstamp :thumb:
a really great group (mostly)of people who all have the same goal.

I have 85 ( and a few that dont exist anymore) a long ways to go,
anyway this article came up and thought it was worth linking to here
interesting facts...

How Many People Can Visit All Countries On Earth?
You might have heard of some people who have visited all 195 countries on earth. Whoa! How do they do that? Isn’t this hugely expensive? Could a person like you or me visit all countries?

Possibly, yeah, but if you think money is the greatest obstacle to visiting all of the world’s countries, you’re wrong. It’s actually the passport you hold – if you can afford one to begin with.

Out of curiosity, I tried to calculate how many people cannot visit one or more of the world’s 195 countries. If one country doesn’t let you in based on your nationality, the dream to visit all countries ends very abruptly. It’s a punishment for something a human had no power over: their nationality. Here’s the harsh reality, based on the data of WorldOMeters, quick Google results and a good dose of Wikipedia:

Well, a German passport is currently the one that gives you access to most countries. I still wouldn't know why anything would make me go to places like Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Syria or Tuvalu.

I think Pakistan was one of those countries that was interesting to visit in the 60s and 70s.
