Lost?
Lost?
Could be confusing, but new signage on National road 10.
It looks like the future directions.

Re: Lost?
I think you are on the right track, Andy.
Signposts for the highway to Hell
Tomatoes, rotten eggs, paintballs?
a shottie....
Ohh... if only it was that easy to change the future direction

Re: Lost?
Looks like a private sign rather than a gov road sign
Re: Lost?
I think you may be right. Looks like it pointing to some attraction down to the left. Westerners not welcome.

Re: Lost?
National Road 10 is part of the very new "improved" network of major routes being opened through the Cardamoms and the Thai border areas between Battembang, Pursat, Koh Kong. Thailand.
So new i can't find it on any maps, just PR releases.
Nat Road 55 is another cog in this new spiders web.
Maybe Andy can tell us exactly where this ^^ intersection is??
Chinese/Khmer only, signs were quite common when the dams were going in to Cardamoms and the chinese were building their shit roads as part of the "deal".
(nb. The new Chinese trade routes will probably more robust than this)
(like i said before - same constructors, same concrete as the dams. Scary.
This ^^^ was only 12-18 months after the roads were put in)

Re: Lost?
This is the new 190+ klm road under construction and it's possible the signage is temporary whilst the Chinese are building the road. Never the less it's got many people looking and commenting, in particular the absence of the English language. There as been reasons, such has the language is international, and what of the western tourists in future years. Also correct the sign is out of carictor being blue, but also it maybe that of new things to come in the lKingdom of Wonder.

Re: Lost?
Yep, these are just temporary signage for road workers. They have similar signage in some places at the new Phnom Penh's 3rd ring road. Some parts that are more finished (just installed few months ago) have the real signage and those have green background with khmer and english text.AndyKK wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 2:04 pm This is the new 190+ klm road under construction and it's possible the signage is temporary whilst the Chinese are building the road. Re: Lost?
It would not be a surprise to see three languages on the new completed highways I would think, and to be more convenient to all concerned.
