Group travel vs. the lone traveler. Sounds like the great Khmer vs. Westerner world view. Great discussion so far.

That is good advice. I want to go there with my female friends but most of us can't swim.

BTW I can't go alone because it is such a lonely time to go somewhere alone and not know what to do something alone.

Believe me, for travelling, you will never be alone. You will always meet people.

Also if you can't swim, you can tray kayaking, but make sure you put the life jacket on and don't do the kayaking alone.
I have found it is much more pleasureable to travel alone. If you travel with someone or a partner, you are always speaking and doing things with that one person. When traveling by yourself not only does it give you the freedom and courage to strike up a conversation with total strangers, but it gives total strangers a better opportunity to communicate with you. Think about it,,, who wants to butt into a conversation being had between two other people.
Maybe little salary is not an adventure-type traveler. I am not sure if she ever stay in the dorm room.
I never travel alone even I went abroad I still had friends or sister with me. I'm a kind of an quiet person who don't like to talk with strangers. I never stay dorm room, it might be cheaper than guesthouse but I'm not sure if I like to share room or bed, I think I can't sleep when any noise wake me up while I'm sleeping.

Hey little salary, i don't see any reasons that would prevent you to travel alone, also this is in Cambodia. Your country, you were born here. You know the language and places. Ok, if you don't dare to stay in dorm room, then get your own room. You need to challenge yourself to see if you can do thing. You don't need someone to accompany you to go see places you want to. You really want to see Angkorwat, but because no one will go with you, therefore you will never go to see Angkorwat forever? In addition, traveling alone is the best way to cut loose. BTW, i am going to Kep this weekend, you can come with me if you want to.

Oh of course, you are welcomed to come with us, however make sure you can get along as we will only speak Khmer all the time, no esky or chilly bin.

Well I'm not coming if you are going to drink warm beer. That the greatest sin out there.

Oh Nah. We will drink cool beer. Actually you absolutely can bring your chilly bin along, but the thing is that we will not speak English with you, i meant Kiwi language. Oh one more thing, you can't share the room with us.
