Just arrived into Phnom Penh

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

Midnight Monday but I was asleep. If you arrive on Sunday bank on being in the hotel until Tuesday morning.

I strongly recommend sorting out food delivery. Once my home internet fires up again I will talk about the hotel and the complete lack of anything decent to eat.

Doc had a business visa. We all have to wait for VOA’s and e-visas to be opened again.

Sorry. Poster mentioned tourist visa and I was only clarifying that and how Doc got back. Didn’t know you had a retirement visa.

Dont think a er extension will get ya back any sooner than a tourist visa will or they will issue voa's, ( same goes for Thailand) an don't expect those to be issued till August at the soonest.
and i cant see them keeping the testing/covid negative & $3,000 requirement and allowing tourist in.

I would venture less than 20% of tourist stay 14 days in Cambodia

did u get a meal on the flight/transit and did everyone than remove their masks and eat?

/......
Kinda defeats the whole purpose of wearing one than.......:-)
Masks can be lowered for eating, a bit tricky otherwise. I got told by one of the cabin crew to put mine up as I had it lowered to below my nose as they get hot. They were not as strict on the London to Seoul leg as it was a night flight and the cabin crew hid away in the back for most of the flight. However, on the Seoul to PP leg they were always around and will be on your case.

I would say this... if you are going on a 10+ hour flight with a mask, get some practice in early. It is very uncomfortable and after so long it can irritate the back of your ears. Buy cheap and lightweight ones, don't get all fancy or use those 3M tight fitting ones, you have to have it on for a VERY LONG TIME, so comfort is #1,2 and 3 on the list. Spend a day at home watching the TV with one on, see how irritating it gets after a while.
