France short break

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

Aix en Provence is so much better than Marseilles, which was a big disappointment when I visited a few years ago.

That Cassis village looks very nice as well, and those French restaurants look like the real deal (that sole looks delicious). I've seldom been disappointed in France, outstanding cuisine at reasonable prices, mostly. Somehow even the fast food tastes better.

Whenever I come France I try to come to Aix, so I was here last June too. Over the years I've seen Aix changed now its more crowded, in the past its more peaceful and quiet which I really enjoyed.

Marseille is a big contrast. Too crowded and unsafe. Just last Sunday I was picked, my sling bag gone in a restaurant with my passport and a earphone luckily money, cards and phones in my pocket. Sad.

Food in France is nice and special I have to agree and even their Magnum ice-cream tastes so so creamy and good. And yes McDonald's beef patty is also tasty and different.

Yong, I hope you sent the champaign back and demanded the correct glasses for it.

That is an absolute insult serving champaign in a cocktail glass instead of a flute.

Typical of the Parisians. Out of Paris they are far more civilized.
