It's a bad thing. No hard feelings bro, but it sounds like you're about to get chewed up and spat out. Wise up. 8-)

what i mean is that the coke you will be offered is smack and deadly.
if you mix them up it is a speedball.

A lot of cocaine mules have been caught in Phnom Penh International Airport recently, so there is obviously a lot of the product coming through.
This place is more of a conduit/ distribution center than a target market though so I'd imagine most of this product is being shipped on abroad.

Can someone suggest the best area to stay in Phnom Penn? Where is the nightlife centred?
Daum Penh district, closer to the "Riverside" the better, anywhere near streets 104/118/130/136/172 or street 51, all these streets are within walking distance of each other maybe a 10-15 minute walk (a few minutes in a tuk tuk) from 104 to 172/51 area
Thanks JL, very useful :good:

Mr Bingham, you know nothing of my work. Never assume I don't dig crazy :hattip:

Don't do drugs kids. They are for mugs. :nono:

Im landing in Phnom Penn a few days after Christmas later this year. I will be in the country for about 14 days and want to get some insight on best places to spend some time.

Priorities are a nice beach to relax on during the day. In the evenings it would be great to have access to bars for foreigners as well some more local girly type bars if I get bored of talking to hippies. If there are venues to play a bit of pool and some poker too then all the better. Ability to watch premier league games that are on is also neccesary.

So in summary:

Good beach, good food, good nightlife (foreign and local), poker, pool tables, good beer, premier league football on the tv.

We will definitely be visiting Koh rong as our friend lives there. Any views or insights into this island?

Its my birthday whilst we are here. What city/area would you choose for a celebration?

Thanks in advance :hattip:
Hi London,

My thoughts would be to spend a couple/few days in Phnom Penh first. Since you're gonna be landing there anyway. Don't know when your flight comes in...Tuk Tuk to Riverside should be at least $6.00 up. Negotiate the price. Hopefully, catch one that just dropped of a farang or two and is heading back to Riverside. Make sure you have some small USD when you leave the airport. Get a place down by the Riverside in Daun Penh (as Jamie L. suggested). Lots to do and see.

The Giant Ibis bus Station is right next to the Night Market (in Daun Penh) which is very convenient. When you are ready to head to Sihanoukville catch the bus. Check the Giant Ibis site for schedule. http://giantibis.com/index.php You can make reservations online for about $12.00 one way. Leave in the morning and you are there in no time (ostensibly, 4 1/2 hours). While you are in Phnom Penh you will have the opportunity to meet a few people and get a feel for things. Acclimatization, if you will.

The bus arrives in a good location in Snooky. Grab a place to stay or go on to see your friend. Here's a link to some ferry schedules. https://visitkohrong.com/how-to-get-to-koh-rong/

Have a great time and be safe.

I am no smack expert although i have tried it a couple of times in my youth and didn,t take to it, i was always a weed smoker rather that a "mug" but i have lost a few friends along the way. From what i remember "china white" was the best, top quality heroin and in England not easy to get and far pricier than the brown. If indeed the dealers are substituting heroin for cocaine why would they use top quality stuff? If its all about the profit i doubt that its "china white" Anyway "china white" is a word bandied about re smack in much the same way as "gold seal" is about hash or "columbian flake" about coke, just a label. Its probably a white powder of dubious origin, fentynal maybe?

Actually now that i have thought about it is this whole thing about buying coke and getting smack an urban myth? Why sell somebody heroin instead of coke, why not just crush up some asprins, or even some flour or chalk? You have lost all the future custom from that person anyway.

But are those backpackers snorting heroin thinking it is coke? it takes a huge snort of heroin to kill you. If i purchased coke from a stranger i would probably do small line at first to work out how good it is. I think this is an Urban myth.
