EOS extension, travel, quarantine

I am somewhat unsure what to do. My EOS ends on the 6th of the month this fall. Usually I would apply a month before that to get the extension. Now I am supposed to travel. Problem is how to calculate the timing.
2 weeks quarantine
1 week before expiration of the EOS
allow extra days?

Or can quarantine and application run concurrently? If not, I am somewhat in a tight spot.

How does immigration react if I return on an EOS expiring in 1 week while I am supposed to sit 2 weeks tight in a hotel? Would they accept an application for extension at the airport? after all their HQ is around the corner.

perhaps someone has some experiences with one or another aspect of my problem.

Have only just seen this post, so hope my response isn't too late.

You can enter Cambodia up until the expiry date of your Visa or multi-entry Visa EOS, but if your EOS expires whilst in quarantine then you will accrue $10 per day overstay fines until you are able to apply for a new EOS, overstay fines must be paid at time of application.

All fine. thanks for the info. It will come in handy next year. The trip was cancelled as the inviting institution would leave me with the quarantine expenses. They argued that the quarantine would not be a travel expense.
