Driving a Cambodian-plated car into Thailand banned?

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

Road to koh kong is as good as it has been in a long time, just a few freshly repaired sections put the car a little sideways due to pea gravel. Road pretty much deserted, was a dream after NR4. Thanks for everyone's replies.

Insurance factor?
800 baht sold by the thai passport booth, valid for a full year.

Bump. Now that the land borders have reopened, what's the likelihood of driving to Koh Chang via Koh Kong?

Also, what, if any, obstacles exist for driving a car in my name, but 'owned' by the bank?

if its "owned" by the bank you won't have the official docs stating its urs, as its not :-)

Dang there goes that idea.. All the documents are in my name, and I have the tax dept. registration card in my possession, but the physical MPWT vehicle registration card is with the bank. I have a bank-stamped copy. Will check out the fb group, thanks.
