Driving a Cambodian-plated car into Thailand banned?

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

My opinion is it's a stupid idea for anyone to drive a LH drive car on the road where all other cars are RH drive,, and visa-versa. Try passing a car and it's like looking down the barrel of a gun to see if there are any bullets in the breach.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.

Nonsense,
I have been driving LH drive cars in GB for 20 years without any issues. Been also been driving KH LH drive cars for tens of thousands of km in Thailand without any issues either. Same goes with driving RH drive cars in GB, NZ, AUS and tracks while being left hand drive educated. The brain figures it out surprisingly well until once in a while stepping out a parking space a bit too drunk...

You are speaking about yourself, not the other thousands of idiots on the road who have a IQ a lot lower than your 200.

Also does anyone have current information on the condition of the roads to Koh Kong or Pailin from Phnom Penh? I heard Sre Ambel - Koh Kong road was a bomb-site about a month ago. Thanks.

Went to Koh Kong last weekend. No problems whatsoever on the road there.

Ended up parking at a spot 20 metres from the border at koh kong due to late plans, and the insurance factor. Road to koh kong is as good as it has been in a long time, just a few freshly repaired sections put the car a little sideways due to pea gravel. Road pretty much deserted, was a dream after NR4. Thanks for everyone's replies.
