Hi there Anchor Moy.

Thank you for the positive response.

Fat Sam's? Each time I visit KK I always stop in there to sink a few beers and eat a plate of their legendary plate of chips, Daddy's sauce comes with the condiments so that might be why the chips taste so good. It's situated right close by the roundabout in town with the statue of the woman and the owner, Fat Sam and the new new owner, Alistair, are really helpful people. BUT, their old chef left and as they are now training up a new one, they are closed in the afternoons (and Sundays).

For my daily lunches I go round the corner to a local Khmer place (Lim So Kunthea) which serve up a variety of dishes for US$1 and the owner there is also very friendly. Food is good too. Next to that place - to the right - a mom and pop store serve up divine Cambodian coffee for 1,500 Riel.

Other than that though, the only other decent eateries are down along the river bank. Ritthys is a good choice.

My tip would be to go to Fat Sam's to meet fellow travelers for simple snack food and beer and go to Lim So Kunthea for a filling, nutritional lunch or dinner.

I have stayed at Rozana guesthouse many times and it is a solid option. Safe and friendly. It's over the road from Fat Sam's and up the road a little on the left.

There is an English guy (Steve) who currently runs the Cs Sports bar and you'll find this place by taking a straight lined walk from Fat Sams, past the working woman statue and then continuing down close to the end of the road as it opens out onto the waterfront.

The central market is (in my opinion) gross and I'd only go there for fresh fruit.

Nigel does great Thai food at the Tavern and Mark does a really good meal about 50m to the east of fat Sam opposite, on the corner.
Rozanna is good or 99.
Stevie does the sports and is open until around 2 a.m.
Small town but a couple of good restaurants.
Wood house? Never been but hear ok reports.
