How easily can one pass if one is NOT allowed to adjust the seat or mirrors on the test car? Or the test car is manual shift with quirks? One must pay extra to ‘learn’ the test car in order to pass.

Pretty big inconvenience.

I Also disagree with the comment somewhere above that the theory questions relating to priority at junctions make no sense. It absolutely makes sense. Same as in any other country. What happens in reality on the roads is very different, but in theory, the rules are totally appropriate and logical.

I wonder if you can't just send a Cambodian friend to offer them a bonus in case you pass the test on your first attempt. Are they the only incorruptible officials Cambodia has? I find that difficult to believe.

wifes Cambodian sister ( who cant read an write English or Khmer) paid $300 for driving school for 2 days which included the license

Obviously NO WRITTEN test

This is absolute nonsense. Why would you not be allowed to adjust seat or mirrors?
Maybe a little more assertiveness is needed. Without the confidence to adjust seat and mirrors in front of an assessor (once again, they don't even get in the car, so they'd have no knowledge of any adjustments you make, nor would they oppose it), perhaps one would not have the necessaries to deal with the events on Cambodian highways.

I am about to go for my first practice session. I have also been practicing on the app for a couple of weeks but still do not understand some of the questions and answers, e.g. the frequent reference to "coating lights" and or "how long do healthy drivers need?". Wish me luck.

When I did my test, the mirrors on the car were broken and could not be adjusted. I tried to adjust them but the instructor - who was in the car with me - chastised me and told me to leave them as they are. Can't remember about the seat.

The instructor was in the car for the first few minutes of the test, then they got out to.watxh the manoeuvres. Which were challenging because I could hardly use the mirrors.

For sure there are some questions which don't make sense on English, they are translated word by word but are nonsense. However if you speak Khmer you can kind of reverse engineer the question and work out what the question might be in Khmer.
I was able to guess a few answers to questions that didn't make sense In English, but when I thought about it in Khmer I was able to make a guess at the answer.
Does that make sense?

Not really going to help me as I do not speak Khmer. After today's practice, I am not looking forward to the test. As someone else mentioned, mirrors did not work. The parking is super difficult; I wonder why the Khmer are so bad at parking when they can pass the test. I consider myself a pretty good driver, but having to park when the margin of error is 5 centimeters on each side is a challenge.
