Check with Skyscanner.Plenty of flights BKK to KOS (Sihanoukville) all indirect, usually via REP and some requiring self transfer.Flights start at 202USD return-obviously depends on date required. From KOS take a taxi to Kampot-about 1.5-2 hours. You don't say what you mean by "most efficient" Flying is the quickest way to do it-average total flight time 4-5 hours -but not cheapest-if that is what is needed bus to Trat and then Had Lek border at Koh Kong, then minibus to Kampot.Much cheaper but takes far longer

Just checked Skyscanner again, and one way flights from DMK (Bangkok Don Muang) to PNH with e.g. Airasia start from 46GBP-c 60USD.PNH is south of the city, and a taxi from there to Kampot is about 45-50 USD-probably about 3-4 hours now,as the road is not good. That would definitely be the most efficient way to do it.

Cheapest:
Bangkok bus or taxi to trat 5 hours bus, 4 hours taxi
bus Trat to Hat lek, cross over 2 hours
taxi to Kampot 3 -4 hours

Best DMK- PP airport 1 1/2 hours
taxi to kampot 3 hours

My girlfriend took 3 hours from the roundabout near the airport to ang ta som, which is halfway to kampot. Road no.3 is a clusterfuck right now.

Thank you all! I wasn't sure about the nearest airport, not that familiar with Cambodia. Bus sounds like fun! 😁
